Sheesh, this place is a ghost town! How sad...:(

Oh well, I'm still posting even though no one will read it, haha.

I'm still waiting for my American Idol tickets. Last year they assigned them to me at at the last minute, so I'm hoping that happens this year too. I keep checking everyday because I really want to go! Last year was awesome and this year will be even better with hopefully Adam and Chris as the last two standing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed..

Jury duty sucks...royally...

Yesterday, I sat through 20 drug cases. BORING! I can't believe I have to do this for another 3 months. The good news is that the courtroom is on the fourth floor, so with all the breaks and lunch, I've been going up and down the stairs. I'll do about 4 trips during lunch and three during my breaks. Great aerobics and great for the legs! I think the other jurors that are taking the elevator think I'm a little nutty, haha. I don't care, just sitting for all those hours is crazy..

This August is our annual High Sierra camping trip. We missed it last year, so I'm looking forward to it this year. I've already started planning and somewhat packing for it.

This year, for the first time in almost 10 years, both my boys are going with us! That is sooooo exciting! My mom and my brother and his family will stay in a cabin by the lake and we'll stay in her motor home at the campground. The boys both want to stay in tents on our campsite site. So, we'll all be together, but Paul and I will still have a little privacy having the motor home to ourselves. Unless, of course the bears are back. In that case both boys might be joining us in the motor home, haha.

It's been warm one day here and the next cool. I wish the weather would make up it's mind... Sheesh..

I've noticed the ghost town blogging too...It is kind of nice, I have been so busy I have not had much time to stop in, so less bloggers means less to read...but it is sad to see that so many just abandoned this place for the other.

Love the new look. I feel like I am in a 60's hippy pad!

Good for you an the walking the stairs. After sitting for hours at the call center I walk around the parking lot on my breaks. All that sitting makes my legs hurt.

Cool....American Idols tickets. We just got tickets to Antiques Roadshow for Atlantic City in June and are looking forward to that as we're big fans of the show.

I was jury foreman on a big Federal drug case last year and while it was interesting and I learned a lot about how the system works, it still had it's very boring moments when they had to bring in all these so-called experts and people like that.

They seemed to confuse things more than anything else. When it was finally turned over to us to deliberate there was one guy and one girl that kept holding things up. The guy in question was definitely guilty but these two kept crying conspiracy and crap like that. I think they both watched way too much TV. Too much Perry Mason, or Law and Order, or crap like that!

We finally found him guilty and the guy is going away for a very long time! Just where he belongs for involving a beautiful wife and adorable kids!

How lucky that you get to make that trip to the High Sierras. That would be a wonderful vacation!

Good luck on the tickets! You really enjoyed that show last year, so they will give you happiness. Who knows--you may see a future star!

I've done jury duty, but nothing on that level. Twenty cases in one day? That can't be much time on each case.

I'm still here, reading if not posting. Too many friends haven't made the move yet.

Ahhh yes the email. lol. I'll keep my fingers crossed in hopes that you get those tickets this year. It is a ghost town here. But I'm guilty too, it just seems like time is not on our side these days. No time to blog much. But I do run through here often :).With work and stuff I usually check on the ones still left here, and the ones @ myspace ..that's about it. I think I would have to walk too after sitting that long. Have fun with your camping trip.., I've never liked camping. I'll go just to please the family, but I don't like it. hahahaha ;) ~hugs~ * I have not even kept up with Idol this year, can you believe that !! I have most recorded, But it sucks cause before I can watch it, I've already "heard" about it so it's not the same.

Michael--That's what's happening with me! The cases are pretty much open and shut, but there are two that simply want to vote differently. They finally give in, but it's such wasted time, grrr.

you're right, I'm really learning about the legal system, I'm actually quite surprised at what I'm learning!

Laura, I even have it recorded , but by time I get home, I never seem to get to it and the next day everyone is talking about it so I don't bother. I know my sisters and mom have said the same ..that it's the best so far. I do work evenings. I get home around 10:00 @ night. I haven't started yet, should be around the end of June.

I haven't gotten anything about tickets either.......dang:( Last year was soooo awesome! Well it looks like I'll be the only one not going this year huh...but at the same time, I don't know if Mark and I can both be gone for a week at the same time either...I never even thought of that. We'll see, I don't know if I'm going to end up going or not.

Jana--It's on the California side. Virginia Lakes, have you heard of it? It's about 30min. from Bridgeport. It's camping in the wilderness, over 9000 feet altitude. Beautiful!
