Seven things about me...

I've been tagged by Jana to do this meme. I did this awhile back on Vox, so I won't repeat that one, but came up with 7 different things about myself. I'm not all that interesting, so be prepared to be bored!

1) I was born in Augusta Georgia, lived there one month and moved to Southington CT. Lived there for almost 10 years until my parents moved us to Sunny CA where I still live. I love CA!

2) When I was a young girl in CT, I was the host of a Barbie Club. Once a week all my little girlfriends would meet at my house and we would swap Barbie cards and show off our new Barbie clothes. When the Beatles invaded the US, the Barbie Club went out the window and much to the dismay of my little friends, became a Beatles Club. I lost a few friends, but hey the Beatles beat out Barbie any day!

3) I was a Party Girl in my late teens and twenties. I had a fake ID and started going to the clubs around the age of 18. I loved to dance and was actually good at it, even winning a few contest. I also had the lead singer of a band called "Slam Dunk" buy me drinks and even come out on the dance floor and serenade me each Wednesday night, which was Ladies Night. Give me a good drum solo or guitar solo and I'm in Heaven.

4) I got married at the age of 25, had my first child at 26 and my second at age 30. The eighties are kind of blur for me, what with diapers, children activities and Mommy things.

5) I'm pretty much a happy person. Laughter is like my lifeline. BUT, I do have days where I feel really bad or sad. It doesn't last long, a day at the most, thank goodness.

6) I got married on February 14, as did my parents and their parents and their parents. I wish my son would have followed suit. Oh well.
I've traveled to Hawaii three times (first time on my Honeymoon) Maine, Nebraska, Canada, CT, New Hampshire, Michigan, Boston, New Jersey, New Mexico, Mexico, France, Washington, Nevada, Many parts of CA. I would love to go to Italy and Ireland.

7) I sometimes feel things before they happen. I get some sort of sign/premonition if you will. That's a whole other blog post, lol.

So there ya go...:)

looks like we have a couple of things in common..married at 25...triple loved going to clubs to dance, I wish hubby liked to dance he is such an old fuddy dud.

That was awesome Laurie. I agree with Cam. you are more qualified then that moose and wolf killer any day. Nothing boring in here. I just thought of when Sam of Sam the Sham and the Pharaoh' s stepped on my hand. Ouch!! He was such a bozo. I did the same club thing but I was 16 hehehehe..

Great list Laurie. Not boring at all. I love getting to know people better! President of the Barbie Club until the Beatles came along....I'd go with the Beatles too - although I did love my Barbies (but nothing compares to Paul).

Oh yawn, yawn..... hey Laurie-doo! That wasn't so boring after all....we have a few things in common. Well....except for the Barbie club business, now that's real and true girlie-girl stuff!! I think at one time my oldest daughter had everything that Barbie ever owned.....boy was I ever the sucker!

The part about all the weddings on Feb. 14 is amazing. Were they all on Saturdays? I'd hate to wait several years for Feb. 14 to fall on a Saturday.

I couldn't help but add "I've been every where man...." after your list of places you have been. Sounded like you where singing that Johny Cash song....

I've been everywhere, man. Crossed the desert's bare, man. I've breathed the mountain air, man. Of travel I've had my share, man. I've been everywhere!
