First the good news...
This is what was in my Slayer Survival Kit!
Pretty Pink pen with my initial on it...*for writing "Honey Do notes to your husband" LOL
Foot Scrub...*for use after a long day cleaning up after your doggies* Sweet.
Pretty Blue Key chain...*The color reminded me of your blog* Yep, it's blue alright, lol.
Ramen Noodle soup (creamy chicken)..*in honor of the Thai noodles entry, plus creamy chicken is my favorite* LOL, I remember those noodles!
Candy..*I know you love red licorice. Sugar free to help you keep off all the weight you've lost* I broke that open right away, haha
Red Gum..*something feisty to match the feisty spirit that's lying dormant within. You tell people you're shy, but there's a feisty girl deep in there* She is right about that, once you get to know me, there is that other side, lol.
Chapstick..*Fruity chap stick is the key to a long marriage. Or, at least, long kisses* That's cute, now I need to show my husband this...:)
Then she left a very sweet note at the bottom, which goes to prove what a very sweet person she is!..:)
Dang, the trip was a nightmare...Seriously...
It took us two full days to pack them up and move everything into the u haul. My son had to work clinic shifts 12 hours a day, so me, my husband and my daughter-in-law did it all. How could they have acquired so much stuff??? The heat was unbearable, we had to take tiny breaks just to get some relief.
My son went to a meeting with the head honchos at his school and come back in tears to tell us some bad news. Apparently, he still has to see 300 more clinical patients before he can graduate. He'd had a meeting a month ago, and was told he was up to par on everything. But, since then, it seems all the "signed" papers from several doctors on patients he'd seen, mysteriously disappeared.
WTH!
We have decided that's bullshit. They just want more freakin money. We searched for the copies but realized the kids had most likely already packed those in boxes before we got there. They didn't label the boxes (doh!) and those were some of the first boxes to go in the u haul.
So, he has to stay. He has another meeting on Tuesday. Meanwhile we will look through all the boxes to try and find the copies. If we can't, he will have to stay another 4 months and another $4000.00.... Plus, we will have to find him somewhere else to live temporally.
His wife had to come with us, she already has a job lined up, so she was crying her eyes out the whole trip home. Sigh, what a mess..
Now we will look for them. Say a prayer they didn't get thrown away in all the confusion of packing. He swears they are in one of those *10,000* boxes, lol, so hopefully today they will be found.
Ugg, enough of that!
My computer gets disconnected sometime shortly, and they promised me they will work on running all the cables into the garage today, so we will see. I've already made my little corner in the garage my own. I hung my Beatle poster out there and my collection of crosses, LOL. I also think I will put some PINK and flowers and glitter around, kind of like vampires and garlic.
