Baby poop and unfit mothers...

We had a garage sale on Saturday to try and make room for my son and his wife to move back in. He has one more set of clinical boards to take, but that will happen in February. Graduating from the medical school has nothing to do with that. He just can't practice fully as a doctor until he passes those. Since his student loans have already started coming in, they will have to live with us for at least a year.

What an adjustment this is going to be... This house isn't that big for so many people and an extra dog. Yep, they have a dog and that dog doesn't get along with my female dog, so this should be fun.....NOT!

Of course, I am happy to have my son here again, he's been in AZ for almost 10 years now. I'm also sure it will be an adjustment for him, having to live at home again. He's probably dreading it, lol.

So, back to the garage sale....This large family drove up in their huge Dodge van and proceeded to fan out all over the yard. I hate it when they do that, you can't keep an eye on them, which is why they do it, they're not dumb.

I had this large box of different child related items going back to my in-home preschool days and all the little ones in this family were gleefully going through the box. They were so cute, so I told them, take whatever you want out of the box, it's free. Their little eyes lit up and they tore that box apart, lol. They wound up taking almost everything!

The parents didn't buy anything and didn't even tell me thank you for giving the little ones all the free stuff. (most of the items were not cheap!) They all piled into the van but the mother stood outside for a bit, I thought maybe she was going through her purse or something. Meanwhile, I was pretty busy with some other buyers.

About an hour later, my neighbor came up to me and said..."I can't believe some people." I asked her what she meant and she told me to go look down at the end of my driveway. I walked down and laying there, right where the van was and right where the lady was standing. was a dirty diaper.

WTF!!

That's what that lady was doing, changing her babies diaper and freakin throwing it down in MY DRIVEWAY!

The fact that she left a shit*ty diaper in my yard is hard enough to believe, but to do it after I gave her 6 kids all the neat toys and crafts, is so ffing wrong.

Ahhh, I'm still so pissed and also a little sad about that. Sad, because I'm sure there are probably so many people like that woman and I don't understand what makes people do things like that. Or why they think it's acceptable.

Oh well...

I wonder if I can find out where she lives, I just picked up all the dog poop in my yard...

Cam---50/50. I miss him but not that crazy about having a full house again. Does that make me bad? Oops.

I remember when my younger son moved out for about 4 months. My husband and I were alone for the first time in our marriage. Well except for the first 9 months when I was pregnant. It was nice having our privacy!

That's just disgusting and completely unacceptable. What the hell? She couldn't take it with her and throw it away at the nearest gas station or something? Some people just have no class. I hope her kids are enjoying all they toys...geez :(

Gross! I can understand having to change diapers in a hurry, but to not find a place to dispose of them makes me sick! The mom could have at least asked you if she could throw it in your garbage!

I have been finding dirty/wet diapers laying on the bench down at the lake we take the dogs to (5 days in a row). I left a note saying "I pick up after my kids (dogs) shouldn't you do the same?)...on the 6th day there was no wet diaper. Not sure if they saw the note or just didn't come down to the lake.

The world is full of clods like her. What makes me upset is pulling into a parking lot at some store and finding a shitty diaper laying there. Don't they carry small plastic bags to put them in until they arrive back home. Can you imagine what their house must look like? Plus most parking lots have trash bins, although I would rather not see a diaper thrown in one, especially on a hot day, but better there than in the parking lot, or in your case at the end of your drive and you had to clean it up. That's like the people who walk their dogs and don't clean up after them, if caught they should be fined.

Whoa! It sickens me whenever I see a nasty, used diaper out in public that isn't in the appropriate waste container! Some people's upbringing is really questionable, isn't it? *shudders* I always clean up after my dogs, cleaned up after my babies when they were little - so it boggles the mind when I hear/see evidence that some folks don't. That is just uber nasty!

Hope everything works well for you on the son's family moving in with you. My own son is going to be moving in with me, soon (I hope), to help with the farm. It can be a good thing for both of you, as long as everyone understands the boundaries & expectations. My son & I have a contract, where my boundaries/expectations are spelled out clearly, so there won't be any wiggle room for misunderstandings. Maybe that might be helpful for you & yours?
